Inisfada Spiritual Ministry

"Find God in all things." -Saint Ignatius Loyola

The ISM exists to support individuals seeking to explore Ignatian Spirituality through programs, events and one-to-one spiritual direction.

"The way of Ignatius is about finding freedom: the freedom to become the person you're meant to be, to love and to accept love, to make good decisions, and to experience the beauty of creation and the mystery of God's love."   -Father James Martin, SJ

Note: Formerly in Manhasset, ISM offices are now located on the grounds of St. Peter of Alcantara, in Port Washington, Long Island.

Spiritual Direction

Through monthly one-to-one meetings with a certified spiritual director, adults can deepen their personal relationship with God and enrich their prayer life. Mindful of the philosophy underlying St. Ignatius' Spiritual Exercises, each participant is encouraged to reflect on how God is present in their own life.

Individual meetings and stipends are determined between the director and the participant. No one is refused spiritual direction if they are unable to pay. For more information and meeting times, contact Sr. Thomas More RGS at (516) 883-2782.

Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius

For those in Spiritual Direction who wish to deepen their connection with God through "The Retreat in Everyday Life." This journey consists of prayer, journaling and a weekly meeting with a spiritual director.

Program runs from September to June. Please call (516) 883-2782 for more information.

Gifted by Grace

Our monthly spirituality series will continue on the third Thursday of each month from September to May from 9:30 AM until 12 noon.  This year the program will be based on Margaret Silf’s,  Inner Compass.  We will use each chapter as a jumping off point for our prayer, reflection and sharing.  You do not have to purchase the book as this is not a book club.  We are just using the theme of each chapter as our topic.  The group will be facilitated by a member of the ISM team each month.  First meeting Thursday Sept 21. The topic is   “Where am I?  How am I?  Who am I?  See calendar for future topics.

Please register by calling 516 767-0212 or 516 883-2782.  Please leave a message and your call will be returned.
